There are two common types of extractions, simple and surgical. An x-ray will help Dr. Finley to determine which procedure will be used. During a simple extraction a tooth is loosened with an instrument and then the tooth is removed with dental forceps. Surgical Extractions are more complex. This involves either sectioning the tooth or removing some of the bone around the tooth before extracting the tooth. Both of these procedures are done using local anesthetic. Following these procedures you will be given detailed instruction on how to care for the extraction site. You will receive follow-up phone calls to check on your progress.

Upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile and usually addressed by name which is always refreshing!! My treatment has always been timely. I’ve never felt like Dr. Finley was rushed when treating me; he’s quite adept at knowing how much time to schedule for whatever procedure I’m having. I’ve had extensive treatment and while no one likes going to the dentist my experience has always been good. The follow up calls are nice to receive, too!! — NB |
